Back in March 2020, we were faced with the start of the pandemic and flu season which resulted in low footfalls generally for malls. We were tasked with coming up with a solution to increase the spending of existing visitors.
A game specially designed to “crush” the germs was developed. Players that participated would be rewarded with cash vouchers which led to increased spending. We ran the game off motion sensors to reduce the amount of physical contact between players. An additional plus was the by-product of educating our players on the importance of personal hygiene which later on was widely enforced as the pandemic continued to rage on.
